The mission of Vieques-Libre Corp., a philanthropic, nonprofit company is:
To facilitate the improvements required (including energy independence, education, transportation, healthcare, business development, etc.) for Vieques to freely prosper economically, socially, and spiritually. Specific goals are to finance, manage, and oversee the transition of Vieques, first into a customized autonomous municipality, and then, with the will and approval of its citizens and governing authorities, into an independent country.
This is just the beginning of a long process and requires the input and support of the vast majority of our community. Everyone has a personal point of view, and everyone has a seat at the table.
We have a large pool of individuals who have informed much of our visionary work and are willing and available to help us as needed. Formalization of an Advisory Board will occur as requirements are identified.
